Bangladeshi adventurer Ikramul Hasan Shakil has set a new world record by walking 1,300 kilometres on foot from sea-level to the summit of Mount Everest with Systema Toothbrush by his side.

Supported by Systema, Japan’s oral care brand, Shakil’s feat marks a dual milestone – a personal triumph and a symbolic breakthrough for the brand – making Systema the first toothbrush brand to reach the highest point on the earth, said a press release on Monday.

Starting from Inani beach in Chattogram, Bangladesh, Shakil’s journey spanned across Bangladesh, India and Nepal, culminating in one of the greatest mountaineering accomplishments.

Throughout his expedition, Shakil carried Systema Toothbrush—his symbolic and physical companion—embodying the brand’s values of precision, resilience and purpose.

‘Systema Toothbrush believes in reaching the unreachable—not only in oral care but also in driving meaningful impact,’ said Tonmoy Dutta Gupta, marketing director of Lion Kallol Limited.

‘Supporting Shakil was never just about backing an adventurer—it was about championing a vision that challenges boundaries and inspires generations.’

Much like Systema’s Super Tapered Bristles, designed to reach deep into gum pockets that ordinary toothbrushes miss, Shakil dug deep within himself to achieve what many consider impossible. His journey echoes Systema’s core philosophy: Reaching the Unreachable.
