The Bangladesh Cricket Board has granted Mehidy Hasan Miraz an NOC to play in the ongoing Pakistan Super League for Lahore Qalanders.听
The all-rounder is expected to fly to Pakistan to join the Lahore team today.听
Mehidy鈥檚 NOC will run from May 22 to May 25, according to the in-charge of cricket operations of BCB, Shahriar Nafees.听
Lahore have confirmed their spot in the playoffs, which will begin on Wednesday. Lahore will participate in the eliminator match on Thursday, where their opponent is yet to be confirmed.听
Mehidy, who hasn鈥檛 been included in the national team for the UAE and the subsequent Pakistan series, will team up with his national team colleague Shakib Al Hasan, who made a return to competitive cricket after almost six months with PSL.
Shakib, though, remained wicketless and was out for a golden duck in Lahore鈥檚 26-run win over Peshawar Zalmi.听
Mehidy is set to become the fourth Bangladeshi player to feature in this season of the PSL.
Previously, Rishad Hossain played for Lahore, whereas Nahid Rana was part of Peshawar Zalmi.听
Both players returned to Bangladesh after the PSL was suspended due to a deadly conflict between Pakistan and India.听
Rishad and Nahid were given the NOC to play in the full season. But they didn鈥檛 return to Pakistan after PSL resumed, as the duo travelled to UAE with the national team.听
However, they didn鈥檛 take part in the first match as they were reportedly stuck in the Dubai Airport due to visa complexity.听
