Bangladesh interim government local government, rural development and cooperatives adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has said that Malaysia, in principle, has decided to recruit a large number of Bangladeshi workers in the days to come.
鈥楳alaysia, in principle, has decided to take a significant number of workers from Bangladesh ... the country has also assured of ensuring proper wages, security, and overall welfare of the workers,鈥� Asif said in a post on his verified Facebook account.
Asif, also youth and sports adviser, mentioned that the development came following a recent meeting between expatriates鈥� welfare and overseas employment adviser Asif Nazrul and high officials of the Malaysian human resources ministry in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Two major highlights of the discussion were: ensuring proper wages as well as benefits for the existing Bangladeshi workers, and preparing a well-balanced framework for sending new Bangladeshi workers under a transparent recruitment policy.
