Bangladesh emerged as Group A champions in the SAFF Under-19 Championship 2025 after their group rivals, Maldives and Bhutan, played out a 2-2 draw at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Arunachal Pradesh, India, on Tuesday.

Bangladesh earlier confirmed their semi-final berth with four points from two games as they beat Bhutan 3-0 following a 2-2 draw against Maldives in the first match.


Maldives also advanced to the semi-finals from Group A, while Bhutan were eliminated following the day鈥檚 draw.

Golam Rabbani Choton鈥檚 charges will now face Group B runners-up, India or Nepal, in the semi-finals on May 16.

India and Nepal were due to play the group final on Tuesday.

The other team of Group B, Sri Lanka, finished the group stage with defeats to India (8-0) and Nepal (5-0).

The final of the six-team tournament will be held on May 18.
