The four-day Syed Badruddin Hossain Memorial Theatre Festival 2025 ended on Sunday with the staging of Natya Teertha鈥檚 production Dwip at the experimental theatre hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

Padatik Natya Sangsad organised the festival.


Organised to mark the 102nd anniversary of the birth of of Padatik Natya Sangsad鈥檚 founding president, Syed Badruddin Hossain, the event featured four plays by four Bangladeshi Theatre troupes.

Earlier, Padatik Natya Sangsad and Actomania staged Macbeth and The Man Outside at the same venue.

The festival was inaugurated by renowned actor Abul Hayat on Thursday. The festival was also given the award posthumously to playwright-professor Afsar Ahmad and theatre designer Saiful Islam at the inaugural ceremony. 聽

On the opening day, Jahangirnagar Theatre staged Dwitiya Mrityur Aage written and directed by Mahfuzul Islam Megh.
