A newborn baby鈥檚 headless and decomposed body was recovered at Jaintapur upazila in Sylhet on Friday afternoon.
Jaintapur police officer-in-charge ABM Badruzzaman confirmed the news to 抖阴精品, saying that it was of a newborn baby.
He said that informed by the local people, a police team recovered the body floating in a pond known as Barapukur at Purba Bazar in the upazila headquarters at about 2:30pm.
鈥楽omeone might have dumped the body in the pond. The head apparently became separated from the body as a result of decomposition,鈥� the police officer said, adding that the body was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
