A 65-year-old man was killed after being hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks at Karwan Bazar in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The deceased, Md Lokman Hadania, 65, hailed from Laldia area in Chandpur Sadar in the district. He was a resident of Merul Badda in Dhaka.
Abdullah Noman, a pedestrian who took Lokman to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said that he suffered serious injuries after being hit by the train while crossing the rail tracks.
Doctors declared him dead at around 1:00pm, said Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp.
He said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue. 鈥楾he railway police were informed of the incident.鈥�
