Mohammedan Sporting Club will be looking to end their trophy drought while Abahani Limited aim to retain it when the arch-rivals meet in the title decider on the final day of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday.

The match will start at 9:00am, and T-Sports will telecast it live.

Table-toppers Abahani have earned 26 points from 15 matches, while Mohammedan are placed second with 24 points from the same number of outings.

Mohammedan, who last won a trophy in the 2009-10 season — before the league got List A status—will need to beat Abahani to lift the trophy.

On the other hand, Abahani, who won four titles out of the last five, will only have to avoid defeat and will be poised to extend their domination by securing the 24th league title.

Mohammedan, however, are ahead in terms of head-to-head as they defeated their arch-rivals by 39 runs during the first phase of the league.

Mohammedan will miss their captain, Towhid Hridoy, who has been banned for four matches after breaching the code of conduct.
