Ivory Coast forward Ouattara Ben Ibrahim scored the equaliser for promoted Fakirerpool Young Men鈥檚 Club as they held 10-man Fortis Football Club to a 1-1 draw in their return leg during Bangladesh Premier League tie at the Kings Arena in the city on Friday.

In the other day鈥檚 match, Police Football Club鈥檚 Uzbekistani midfielder Jakhongir Kurbonvoev struck the match-winning goal in the 84th minute against another promoted side Dhaka Wanderers Club in Mymensingh.


In Dhaka, Forits FC went to break with a 1-0 lead after Nigerian forward Ojukwu David Ifegwu struck in the 33rd minute.

Fortis FC, then suffered a big blow when their goalkeeper Sarwar Jahan was sent off with a straight red card in the 56th minute.

Fakirerpool capitalised on the advantage and scored the equaliser when Ibrahim scored in the 65th minute.

In their first-leg tie, Fortis defeated Fakirerpool 3-0, while Police FC beat Wanderers 4-0.

After playing 12 games each, the fourth-placed Police FC earned 19 points, while the sixth-placed Fortis FC earned 18 points; Fakirerpool (10 points) and Wanderers (four points) were placed eighth and ninth, respectively.
