Members of Border Guard Bangladesh, in a drive, arrested two Indian citizens from Chuadanga鈥檚 Jibannagar border area.
A BGB special patrol team, led by Subedar Md Hafizur Rahman of Jibannagar BOP under Maheshpur BGB-58 Battalion, conducted the drive in the border area and arrested them from the road near Jibannagar Bus Stand, said a BGB press release on Thursday.
The arrested are Putul Das, 49, daughter of Harlal Das of Tilakchandrapur village of Kalinagar police station in South 24 Pargana, West Bengal and Taker Das, 25, son of Balai Das of the same village. They were trying to enter India after illegally staying in Bangladesh.
Officer-in-charge of Maheshpur police station Faiz Uddin Mridha said that a case would be filed against the two detained Indian nationals and they would be produced before the court.
