
The Career and Placement Centre of North South University hosted the B-JET and B-MEET renewal opening ceremony, celebrating the ongoing collaboration with the Japanese Shinko Shuppansha Keirinkan Company Limited, at the NSU in Dhaka on Thursday.
The event began with welcome remarks from Professor Abdur Rob Khan, treasurer of the NSU, emphasising the value of this partnership in building global career opportunities for Bangladeshi youth, said a press release.
Fumikatsu Homma, managing director of Keirinkan, introduced their work in Bangladesh, while Tomohide Ichiguchi, chief representative of JICA Bangladesh, shared the JICA鈥檚 expectations for the programme鈥檚 future.
A joint presentation by Yuki Morishita, B-JET project manager, and Hamida Mosharraf Moniea, senior lecturer and coordinator, CPC, showcased the success and future plans of the B-JET and B-MEET programmes, which help graduates receive training and job opportunities in Japan.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of North South University. This was followed by a question and answer session, moderated by Professor Md Taufiqul Islam.
