Executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority Ashik Chowdhury has been given state minister status.
The cabinet division issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday.
The notification said that the order was issued in the public interest and would be effective immediately.
The interim government appointed Ashik Chowdhury as the executive chairman of BIDA on September 12, 2024.
