The Election Commission has urged the public not to fall into deceptive Facebook advertisements promoting NID-related services.
A media release issued by the EC secretariat on Monday said that recently, it had observed numerous fake IDs and Facebook pages on social media platforms, which were misleading people by advertising NID-related services, which was highly unwanted.
It said that official information and video content about voter list updates and national identity cards were regularly shared through two authorised pages.

All the people are advised to avoid all other Facebook pages promoting NID-related services and to refrain from being misled by such advertisements.
