
A man was stabbed to death in a clash between four brothers over fishing at Kalaroa in Satkhira on Saturday.
The deceased, Mosharraf Hossain Sardar, 48, was a resident of Boalia village in the upazila. His elder brother, Abul Hossain, 55, was also injured in the incident.
Kalaroa police station officer-in-charge Shamsul Arefin said that one brother was killed and another was seriously injured in a clash between four brothers over fishing in a canal.
The two younger brothers, Ashraf Hossain and Sohrab Hossain, who were involved in the incident, were arrested, said the OC, adding that filing a murder case was under process.
According to the police and the people of the area, when Abul Hossain and Mosharraf Hossain went fishing in a canal at about 7:30am on Saturday, their two younger brothers, Ashraf and Sohrab, stopped them.
At one point during the argument, the four brothers got into a clash.
Later, Ashraf and Sohrab beat up their elder brothers and stabbed Mosharraf, leaving him dead on the spot.
