The North South University Alumni Association hosted an iftar party at the Westin Dhaka in the capital on Friday.

The event brought together over 350 alumni from various graduating batches of the university, said a press release on Saturday.


The event was honoured by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice-chancellor, NSU; Professor AKM Waresul Karim, dean, school of business and economics; Professor Dipak Kumar Mitra, dean, school of health and life sciences; and Professor Shazzad Hosain, dean, school of engineering and physical sciences.

The event began with a welcoming note from Amzad Hussain, convenor, NSUAA. Hussain highlighted the association鈥檚 forthcoming plans, including a sports event and an alumni day out, aimed at further strengthening alumni engagement.

Abdul Hannan Chowdhury emphasised the enduring value of a strong alumni network and extended his best wishes to the NSUAA convening committee for their continued efforts.

A key highlight of the evening was the formal introduction of the NSUAA convening committee, who took the stage to share updates on the association鈥檚 activities.

The committee also launched the official NSUAA membership card, outlining its benefits and encouraging alumni to actively participate in future programmes.
