Faria Ahmed, an architecture department student of the North South University, has won the silver award in the Interior category at the 2024 Asia Young Designer Awards.

Organised by Nippon Paint, her final-year thesis project, Game Utopia: Envisioning an IT Institute in a Phy-gital World, won the award at the AYDA, said a press release on Monday.


The project was supervised by NSU associate professor Mujtaba Ahsan and lecturer AKM Saleh Ahmed Anik.

The project presents a visionary concept that seamlessly integrates the physical and digital worlds, fostering an innovative learning environment that encourages freedom, creativity and digital transformation.

The AYDA, a flagship CSR initiative by Nippon Paint since 2008, has grown into a globally recognised platform that nurtures young talent in architecture and interior design.
