
The amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Shafiqur Rahman, at a programme in Dhaka on Sunday said that Jamaat would introduce Islamic education system in the country if they came to power.聽
As 91 per cent of population in the country are Muslims, education should be based on the Islamic morals, Shafiqur Rahman said at the representatives meeting of Bangladesh Adarsha Shikshak Federation at the auditorium of National Press Club.
So, we will introduce Islamic education syestem in the country if our party comes to power in the general elections, he added.聽
Mentioning the rape of the children in Magura, Shafiqur also said that without Islamic education, the society would not run properly.
At first, Jamaat will reform the education after they come to the power, Shafiqur added.
Chaired by president of the organisation M Korban Ali, central leader of Jamaat Mujibur Rahman, secretary general of the organisation ABM Fazlul Karim, among others, spoke at the programme.
