Fiction writer Afsana Begum has brought two new literary works at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.
Cover designed by Nirzhar Noishabdya, the writer’s novel Ghore Phera has been published under the banner of the publishing house Ptothoma, while Kathaprokash has published her collections of stories under the header Antaraler Ghore.
Sabyasachi Hazra is the cover artist of Antaraler Ghore.
The novel, Ghore Phera, revolves around the partition of the Indian subcontinent and the mass uprising of the ‘90s.
‘Forcibly displaced from Kolkata to Dhaka and then lost the address for various changes in Dhaka, Ghore Phera sheds light on a man’s even not finding a permanent address throughout his life,’ mentioned Afsana Begum.
Speaking about the stories of Antaraler Ghore, she said, ‘The stories include elements that are beyond the natural world. Diving into surrealistic elements, the stories blend reality and fantasy.’
Ghore Phera is available at the stall of Prothoma while Antaraler Ghore is available at the stall of Kathaprakash at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.
Afsana Begum’s literary works include Dashti Pratibimber Pashe, Ami Athaba Amar Chhaya, Dingata Kapatata, Pratichchhaya, Lekhak Haoyar Pathe and Kolahal Thamar Pore.
