
The Islamic Foundation board of governors on Tuesday took a decision to establish book corners in all educational institutions with the books published by the foundation.
These book corners will develop the habit of reading religious books among the students, the board observed.聽聽
At the 228th meeting of the board, chaired by the religious affairs adviser AFM Khalid Hossain, the decision was taken, said a press release.聽
Under the management of the foundation, these books corners will be built in all schools, madrassahs, colleges and universities, the release said. 聽
In these book corners, the release read, different important books published by the Islamic Foundation on issues including Siratun Nabi, Tafseer, Fiqh Shastra, Hadith book, Islam in daily life, biographies of the Prophets and the Sahabahs, women鈥檚 rights, drug and terrorism prevention.
The meeting was held at the foundation鈥檚 office in the capital.
Among others, the meeting was attended by the University Grants Commission chairman professor SMA Faiz, religious ministry secretary AKM Aftab Hossain Pramanik, Islamic university, Kushtia vice-chancellor professor Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah, Bangladesh Madrassah Education Board chairman professor Nurul Haq, Islamic foundation director general Abdus Salam Khan, representatives from different madrassahs across the country.
