Two people were killed and two others were injured in a road accident at Faujdarhat in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram on early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Anwar Mia, 62, and Rahima Begum, 60, both residents of Narayanganj.
According to highway police, three microbuses from Narayanganj were heading towards Cox鈥檚 Bazar and one of them crashed into a stationary truck near Faujdarhat Cadet College in Banglabazar area, leaving Anwar, who was traveling in the microbus, dead and three others injured.
Members of Kumira Fire Service rushed to the scene and took the injured to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where Rahima Begum died from her injuries.
SI Nurul Afsar of Baraoalia Highway Police Station said the bodies were recovered and those would be handed over to their respective families after necessary formalities.
