A six-day Annual Research Review Workshop 2023-24of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute will be inaugurated at the institute鈥檚 headquarters auditorium in Gazipur on Saturday, said a press release.
Agriculture ministry secretary Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian will be present as chief guest while Food and Agricultural Organisation representative in Bangladesh Jiaoqun Shi, CIMMYT representative in Bangladesh Timothy J Krupnik and International Rice Research Institute representative in Bangladesh Humnath Bhandari will be present as guests of honour at the ceremony, said a press release.
Chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation Md Ruhul Amin Khan, executive chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council Nazmun Nahar Karim and director general of department of agricultural extension Md Saiful Alam will be present as special guests at the ceremony, which will be presided over by BRRI director general Mohammad Khalequzzaman.
BRRI research director MdRafiqul Islam will present the annual progress and achievement of the institute while director for admin and common service Md Anwarul Haque will deliver the vote of thanks at the ceremony.
