Leaders of different political parties on Wednesday at separate protest programmes in Dhaka said that imposing value added tax and supplementary duties on more than 100 commodities would increase sufferings of the common people to run their families.
They called on the interim government headed by professor Muhammad Yunus to refrain from imposing fresh VAT and reintroduce truck sell of essential commodities for the common people in Dhaka city.
