The birth centenary of Language Movement hero and former lawmaker Mohiuddin Ahmed will be celebrated today.
A press release issued by Mohiuddin Ahmed Jatiya Smriti Sangsad said that to mark the day, several programmes were arranged in Dhaka and Mathbaria in Pirojpur.
At 11:00am, a special commemoration will be arranged at his grave at the Martyred Intellectuals鈥� Graveyard in Mirpur, Dhaka. The platform will also organise a discussion programme, added the press release.
Born on January 15, 1925 in Pirojpur, Mohiuddin Ahmwed was an activist in the movement against British rule, and he was also an organiser of the War of Independence.
