A fire broke out at the second floor of a four storey building in the capital's Purana Paltan area on Tuesday morning.
Fire Service and Civil Defence station officer Talha Bin Jashim said that they heard the news of fire incident at about 9:17 am and two units of firefighters reached the spot seven minutes later.
'Now six units of firefighters are now working to douse the fire, ' he said, adding that the building named Manikganj House and the fire broke out at a law chamber in the second floor.
Two platoons of BGB have been deployed to help with rescue operations.
