
Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation chairman Md Ruhul Amin Khan has recently inspected the jute seed production activities in Chapainawabganj of Rajshahi region.
He also participated in the farmer training programme organised by the Jute Seed Department on January 2, said a press release on Sunday.
The chairman said that the existing activities of BADC should be further accelerated to produce good quality jute seeds according to the needs of the farmers.
‘At the same time, farmers should be encouraged to use domestic jute seeds by reducing the dependence on the import of foreign jute seeds,’ he added, urging the farmers to increase jute cultivation, motivated by patriotism.
