
NRB World Summit was held for the first time in the capital on Thursday, said a press release.
The chief adviser鈥檚 envoy for international affairs Lutfey Siddiqi inaugurated the daylong event as chief guest.
While addressing, he thanked the non-resident Bangladeshi people for their contribution to the country and said that remittance earning increased 30 per cent then the last year.
He said that the country needed direct foreign investment and spread of private sector. He admitted that there were some barriers in the way of investment. The government has already formed commissions to address them.
NRB World president Md Shahiduzzaman chaired the event where the NRB World鈥檚 chief adviser Aziz Ahmed, its founder Enamul Haque Enam, its support forum vice-chairman Prity Chakrabarti, Global NRB chamber secretary Hemi Hossain were present.
