Four people of a family were killed after a drum truck and CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided on the Mymensingh-Netrokona highway in Mymensingh鈥檚 Tarakanda upazila Thursday morning.
The deceased are Abdur Rashid, 55, his wife Bokul Begum, 45, his brother-in-law Bidda Mia, 42, and Bidda鈥檚 daughter-in-law Laboni Akter,18, all from the Bahadurpur area of Netrakona Sadar upazila.聽
Shyamganj Highway police-in-charge Sanjay Chakraborty confirmed the incident.
The accident occurred at 7:00am while the victims were returning home from Mymensingh boarding on the auto-rickshaw amid dense fog, leaving two dead on the spot, while the rest died to their injuries during treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
