The seven-day group art exhibition of three students of Nandan Art Shilpakendra titled Bindu is under way at Bhumi Gallery at Lalmatia in Dhaka.
The exhibition features three female artists Enakkhi Saha Roy, Ishrat Parveen Leena and Ranjana Sayeed displaying their 130 artworks including paintings, drawings, sculptures and engraving on wooden furniture.
Curated by Nandan Art Shilpakendra director artist Swapan Chowdhury, the exhibition depicts nature, women, old buildings, urban structures, daily life and emotion of life.
Artist Enakkhi prefers abstract and semi-abstract artistic expressions with the use of textures in her paintings, while Leena portrays old buildings and urban structures, and Ranjana’s drawings are mostly symbolic and semi-abstract but her sculptures are figurative.
The exhibition was inaugurated on December 20, and will end today.
