The final round and prize-giving ceremony of Devthon 5.0 was held at Shadhinota Auditorium of Bangladesh University of Professionals in Dhaka on Monday.
DEVTHON 5.0 was organised by BUP Development Leaders鈥� Club under the supervision of the Development Studies department, said a press release.
Environment, forest and climate change and water resources adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan was present as chief guest and distributed prize among the winners.
The competition was designed to inspire students to think creatively and participate in Bangladesh鈥檚 sustainable development.
In the three-day programme, there were five segments titled International Interdisciplinary Conference, Case Competition, Short Documentary Competition, Career Expo and DevTalk.
In the case competition segment, team Doh Mahino Mein Paisa Double from North South University became champion, team Rotten Mars from the BUP became 1st runners-up and team The Pitchers from Islamic University of Technology became 2nd runners-up.
In the Short Documentary Competition, team Slytherin, team Yet Another Bizcomp Team and team Lana from Bangladesh University of Professionals became 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position respectively. In addition, team I-SignBerg from University of Rajshahi received Special Mention Award.
BUP vice-chancellor Major general Md Mahbub-ul Alam, invited guests, BUP officers, faculty members, and students, were also present in the programme.
