The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Tuesday extended its order imposing status quo on the process of the election of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies.

The top court on November 11 had imposed a status quo on the election till Tuesday. Extending that status quo, the apex court said that it would be maintained until the disposal of a rule issued in this regard.


‘Disposed of and status quo till disposal of the Rule,’ said the order passed by the three-member apex court bench, headed by justice Md Ashfaqul Islam.

Advocates Joynul Abedin and Gazi Qamrul Islam Sazal stood for a writ petition filed in this regard, while barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal argued for opposite party.
