
Eleven Bangladeshi renowned artists’ artworks were selected for the 10th edition of the Geoje International Art Festival at the Haegeumgang Theme Museum in Busan in South Korea, said a press release.
With the theme of ‘Language of Coexistence, Art’, a total of 341 artists from 56 countries participated in the first-ever virtual jury process of artwork selection for a museum.
Artworks of Bangladeshi renowned artists including Rokeya Sultana, Anukul Mojumder, Ratnashwar Sutradhar, Abu Kalam Shamsuddin, Tahmina Hafiz Lisa, Mahadi Masud, Asma Akbar, Sourav Chowdhur, Azmeer Hossain, Vinita Karim and Nazia Andaleeb Preema will be on display for the museum’s permanent collection.
Artist-curator Nazia Andaleeb Preema was also a member of the jury of the festival.
The 10th Geoje International Art Festival will present the Excellence Award to 20 artists while three Bangladeshi artists Abu Kalam Shamsuddin, Sourav Chowdhury and Azmeer Hossain have been selected for the excellence award.Â
The festival will be inaugurated on November 6.
