North South University architecture department organised the three-day final year Thesis Jury for its students in the Spring of 2024.
The jury began at the department鈥檚 Sky Gallery in Dhaka on Thursday, said a press release.
On the inaugural day of the event, several architects and academicians served as jurors, including Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology architecture department head SM Najmul Imam, Architect Rafiq Azam; Institute of Architects Bangladesh Centre secretary Nazmul Haq Bulbul, Architect Md Shafique Rahman; Architect Golam Mohammad Mohiuddin, Md Maruf Hossain Khan, vice-president of the IAB Khan Mohammad Mahfuzul Huq and the IAB heritage and culture secretary Architect Ziaul Sharif.
The NSU dean of the school of engineering and physical sciences Shazzad Hosain, architecture department chairperson Nandini Awal, among others faculty members of the department, were also present at the event.
This year, students showcased their experimental work, incorporating the AI and simulation-based design processes, which elevated the design outcomes to a new level and received praise from the jurors and the audience, added the press release.
