President Mohammed Shahabuddin will exchange greetings with the Hindu community leaders at Bangabhaban on Sunday on the occasion of Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the community in Bangladesh.
The president and his wife Rebeka Sultana will exchange the greetings at Bangabhaban Durbar Hall from 11:00am to 12:00pm, Bangabhaban sources said.
The president will be accompanied by religious affairs adviser AFM Khalid Hossain, primary and mass education adviser Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar and Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission principal Srimat Swami Purnatmananda Maharaj there.
On the occasion, 1000 individuals, including diplomats, senior journalists of the Hindu community and secretaries concerned have been invited.
The invited guests will be entertained with the traditional foods, sources said.
