
Institute of Food and Radiation Biology’s chief scientific officer ASM Saifullah and the Institute of Nuclear Minerals’ chief geologist Md Golam Rasul have been elected respectively as president and general secretary of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Scientists’ Association.
The executive body election-2024 of the BAESA, a professional association of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, was held on Thursday, said a press release on Saturday.
The 13-member executive body has been elected through direct voting by 464 scientists. The elected officials will serve the scientist community for the next two years.Â
The other elected officials of the executive committee include Professor Abu Bakkar Siddique as vice-president, Md Mahbubul Haque as treasurer, Md Firoz Mortuza as assistant general secretary and Md Al Mamun as information and publication secretary.
Additionally, seven elected executive members are Md Asad Sharif, Afroza Akhter, Mohammad Rajib, Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Azmal Kabir Sarkar, Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, and Md Aliuzzaman.
