
Bangladesh Agricultural University newly appointed vice-chancellor Professor AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan on Thursday visited the BAU Botanical Garden and planted a Baobab tree sapling in Mymensingh.
Among others, adviser of student affairs, Professor Md Shahidul Haque, president of the board of management of the BAU Botanical Garden, Professor AKM Azad-ud-Daula, former curator Professor Md Mustafizur Rahman, Professor Shahanara Begum, curator Professor Md Neshar Uddin, Professor Ariful Islam, Professor Md Munir Hossain and Professor Md Anisur Rahman were present at that time, said a BAU press release.
The VC along with guests was impressed by various species of cactus in the cactus house.
The curator informed the VC about the various trees in the Botanical Garden and sought his cooperation to enrich it, added the press release.
