
All advisers and those holding the rank of adviser to the interim government have been asked to submit wealth statements to the chief adviser in 15 days after the filing of their annual tax returns.
Their spouses having separate sources of income will also require submitting similar wealth statements along with the statements of the advisers through the Cabinet Division, said a gazette notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday.聽
A gazette on mandatory discloser of assets by advisers of the interim government and officials with equivalent rank was issued on Monday.
The move was initiated as per a decision of the advisory council made on September 19.
The chief adviser will make the wealth statements public in suitable time, read the gazette notification.
Earlier, around 15 lakh government officials and employees are asked to submit their annual asset statements by a specific deadline through their respective ministries or directorates.
