The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission will hold views exchange meetings with stakeholders to prepare a roadmap for reformation and development of the capital market.

The meetings will be held in the commission’s multipurpose hall located in the capital’s Agargaon area.


According to a press release issued on Saturday, the September 30 meeting will feature a session for views exchange with representatives of the two stock exchanges, Central Depository Bangladesh Limited, Central Counterparty Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market, Bangladesh Academy for Securities Market and the Capital Market Stabilisation Fund.

The October 1 meeting will feature a session for views exchange with representatives of the DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association, Association of Asset Management Companies and Mutual Funds, Association of Credit Rating Agencies of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies, Financial Reporting Council and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh.

The stock market regulatory body will also hold a discussion meeting with relevant ministries and departments, law enforcement agencies, related regulatory agencies and other important capital market-related associations, chambers, agencies and investors’ organisations regarding the overall reform of the capital market.
