
The North South University Pharmaceutical Club in association with the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences observed the World Pharmacist Day 2024, holding a rally on its campus in Dhaka on Wednesday, said a press release.Â
The students of pharmacy with the help of the authorities carried out the event and efficiently advertised the motto of this year’s theme – Pharmacists: Meeting Global Needs.
Vice-chancellor of the NSU, Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, was present as chief guest at the event.
Expressing his gratitude towards pharmacists around the world, he said, ‘Pharmacists are truly important for their contribution in research sectors and drug formulation.’
The NSU’s treasurer and pro-VC, Professor Abdur Rob Khan, said that global health improvement would not be possible without the best efforts from the pharmacists.Â
The NSU’s school of health and life dean, Dipak Kumar Mitra, and chairman of department of pharmaceutical sciences were also present at the event.
