Law, justice, and parliamentary affairs adviser Asif Nazrul on Thursday said that the interim government would take immediate action against those involved in mob justice, warning that no extrajudicial killing would be allowed at all.

‘The incident of Dhaka University had made us saddened…no extrajudicial killing will be accepted at all,’ he said at a press briefing at foreign service academy in Dhaka in the evening.

Asif Nazrul said that three persons had already been arrested in connection with the incident of DU.

The adviser vowed that the interim government would take immediate action through proper probes, aiming at bringing the people involved in extrajudicial killings to justice.

Two persons, including a former student of Jahangirnagar University, were killed in separate mob beating incidents on JU and DU campuses Wednesday night.
