The interim government has appointed Md Hafizur Rahman, member of Bangladesh Competition Commission and former additional secretary, as administrator to the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The commerce ministry on Wednesday issued a circular in this regard under section 17 of the Trade Organisations Act, 2022.
According to the circular, the administrator would hand over the responsibilities to the new elected body of the country鈥檚 apex trade organisation through holding a free and fair election within 120 days and thus apprise the development to the ministry.
