Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh have been deployed at Chattagram Medical College Hospital for security of doctors and other employees.
This information was confirmed by BGB鈥檚 public relations officer, Md Shariful Islam at BGB headquarters on Wednesday morning.
The deployment comes after doctors demanded security at work places.
Earlier, doctors across the country had called for a complete shutdown demanding justice for the assaults against medical professionals at the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Expressing solidarity the doctors at CMCH, the only specialised hospital in greater Chattogram, also went on strike, resulting in a suspension of all hospital services. However, the strike was later called off, and the doctors resumed their duties.
