The Armed Police Battalion arrested two Rohingyas with two foreign pistols and eight rounds of bullets on suspicion of terrorism in Ukhia of Cox鈥檚 Bazar on Friday midnight.
The arrested Nabi Hossen, known as godfather of yaba smuggling from Myanmar to Bangladesh, is head of the Myanmar鈥檚 terrorist group named 鈥楴abi Hossen Group鈥�. A number of cases, including murder, kidnapping and yaba, have been filed against him.
The 14 APBn commander and additional deputy inspector general of police, Md Iqbal, said that Nabi Hossen, 47, and his younger brother Syed Hossen, 45, were residents of Rohingya Camp 8 of the upazila.
The police official also said that they arrested the two terrorists with two foreign pistols and eight rounds bullets after raiding the camp.
Legal action is under way against them, said the police official.
