
The Armed Police Battalion arrested two Rohingyas with two foreign pistols and eight rounds of bullets on suspicion of terrorism in Ukhia of Cox’s Bazar on Friday midnight.
The arrested Nabi Hossen, known as godfather of yaba smuggling from Myanmar to Bangladesh, is head of the Myanmar’s terrorist group named ‘Nabi Hossen Group’. A number of cases, including murder, kidnapping and yaba, have been filed against him.
The 14 APBn commander and additional deputy inspector general of police, Md Iqbal, said that Nabi Hossen, 47, and his younger brother Syed Hossen, 45, were residents of Rohingya Camp 8 of the upazila.
The police official also said that they arrested the two terrorists with two foreign pistols and eight rounds bullets after raiding the camp.
Legal action is under way against them, said the police official.
