MA Momin Patwari, who served as the social welfare secretary of the Awami League, died to his injuries early Friday.
The deceased was also a former leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
According to a post on the Awami League鈥檚 verified Facebook page, Momin died at about 4:00am.
The post alleged that Momin was severely injured by 鈥楤NP-Jamaat terrorists鈥� on August 15 at Dhanmondi 32 in Dhaka, where he was paying tribute to the founding president of the country Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
