The vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, on Wednesday visited the students and people injured in the Students Movement Against Discrimination, and gave necessary instructions to the concerned to ensure better and proper treatment.

He also talked to relatives of the injured undergoing treatment in the cabin block, general emergency department of the university., said a press release.


Director of the hospital, Brigadier General Dr Md Rezaur Rahman, said that 181 people, including students, injured in the student movement had given treatment at the university.

Currently, 31 people are undergoing treatment, including two people in the intensive care unit, at the BSMMU, he mentioned, adding that two people died.

He also said that necessary tests, medicines, operations and necessary medical supplies were being provided by the university free of cost to the injured.

Acting registrar of the BSMMU Dr Md Delwar Hossain, acting proctor Dr Sheikh Farhad, deputy director Dr Abu Nasser, among others,聽 were present at that time.
