A Bangladesh Nationalist Party supporter was allegedly killed during a clash with Awami League in Cumilla鈥檚 Debidwar on Friday.

The deceased is Siddiqur Rahman, 50, an auto-rickshaw driver by profession.


Zannat Akter, the daughter of the deceased, said that her father was a BNP supporter and that he was hacked to death during the clash.

The clash broke out at about 9:00am during a negotiation meeting held between BNP and AL activists in the area over vandalism at the local AL office on August 6.聽聽

Debidwar police station officer-in-charge Noyon Miah said that no case was filed until Friday afternoon.

The clash also left 10 others injured, the OC said, adding that of the injured, two people are in a critical condition.聽
