A handful of cultural organisations in the country were attacked by miscreants after the resignation of the Awami League president Sheikh Hasina as prime minister on August 5 and fled to India amid a mass uprising spearheaded by students.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy public relations officer Sabina Yesmin said that at least 22 branches of the BSA were attacked after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina.
