The Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Tuesday announced a three-day programme demanding the trial of ousted long-time ruler Sheikh Hasina and her aides for the July massacre.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme saying that it would hold sit-in programmes in front of its offices across the country on August 14 and 15.
On August 16, the BNP will celebrate the birth anniversary of party chairperson, Khaleda Zia.
On the day, the party will hold a special prayer session seeking the cure of Khaleda Zia and all those who suffered injuries during the recent movement. The programme will also offer prayers for all those killed during the recent student-people movement.
Rizvi asked all-level leaders of BNP and its associate bodies to observe the programme across the country.
