BY WITHDRAWING his candidacy from the presidential election, president Biden has played a ‘president’s gambit,’ and he played it with extreme precision. He opened the platform for vice president Kamala Harris to step in and challenge the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

Kamala Devi Harris, born on October 20, 1964, is the current 49th vice president of the United States.  She was a US Senator from California from 2017 to 2021 and the Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017. As the vice president, she is constitutionally the right person to succeed the president if the president fails to perform his/her duty or dies.
