Founding convener of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports, Sheikh Muhammad Shaheedullah, died at his son鈥檚 house at Texas in the United States of America on Friday.
He was 93.

Shaheedullah is survived by his wife, children and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Personal assistant of Shaheedullah, Mohammad Alam, told that his body would be buried in Texas, according to the wish of his family members.
Leaders of different political parties, including the Communist Party of Bangladesh, Socialist Party of Bangladesh, Ganosamhati Andolan, Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh, SPB(Marxist), Democratic Revolutionary Party and Revolutionary Communist League expressed deep shock at the death of Shaheedulla.
Sheikh Shaheedullah was born in Khulna in 1931. He obtained engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
He was also founder of a reputed engineering firm named Shaheedullah Associates.
