A student who sustained bullet injuries after police and Awami League activists opened fire on the students who brought out a procession defying curfew on Monday demanding the resignation of the then prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
聽The deceased is Raihan Ali, 25, a former student of accounting department of Rajshahi College.
Dr Sankar K Biswas, spokesperson to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said that Raihan was admitted to the hospital on Monday and had to undergo a surgery as a bullet hit his forehead.
鈥楩ollowing the surgery, he was kept at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital where he breathed his last at about 7:00pm on Thursday,鈥� he added.
Earlier on Monday, at least two people were killed and over two hundred others were injured after police and AL activists had opened fire on the students鈥� procession randomly.
