
A student who sustained bullet injuries after police and Awami League activists opened fire on the students who brought out a procession defying curfew on Monday demanding the resignation of the then prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
 The deceased is Raihan Ali, 25, a former student of accounting department of Rajshahi College.
Dr Sankar K Biswas, spokesperson to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said that Raihan was admitted to the hospital on Monday and had to undergo a surgery as a bullet hit his forehead.
‘Following the surgery, he was kept at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital where he breathed his last at about 7:00pm on Thursday,’ he added.
Earlier on Monday, at least two people were killed and over two hundred others were injured after police and AL activists had opened fire on the students’ procession randomly.
